Sheryl Cherian is a medical student in the Rush Medical College Class of 2024. She grew up in the northern Chicago suburb of Lincolnwood and moved to Indiana to study at the University of Notre Dame for undergrad. At Notre Dame, Sheryl was involved as a research assistant in a lab focused on understanding and caring for pregnant women experiencing intimate partner violence. Fascinated by the potential impact of sociocultural forces on women's bodies, Sheryl chose to investigate the factors surrounding female adolescent suicide in her motherland of Kerala, India for her senior thesis. Sheryl is thrilled to join the Forum, continuing her effort to learning how to better advocate for women with diverse stories and backgrounds.
