Anne Marie is a medical student at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine (Class of 2025) and grew up in Chesterton, Indiana. She studied Latino Studies and Neuroscience at the University of
Notre Dame, where she pursued research in family psychology and emotional responding to immigrants within communities. Before starting medical school, she volunteered for a year in a
Los Angeles clinic as a care coordinator with the St. Joseph Worker Program. In this role, she worked with patients to address socio-economic issues that served as major barriers to their
healthcare.

At Stritch, she is pursuing her dual MD/MPH degree, focusing on health care policy and access to health care for undocumented immigrants. As part of her master’s in public health studies,
she worked with the Health Justice Program-a medical legal partnership that connects patients with social-legal services to address social determinants of health that cannot be addressed
within a doctor’s visit. She is passionate about eradicating health inequities, especially those that adversely affect women of color. This interest has led her to pursue research in pregnancy outcomes for diverse women as well as the Global Health and Community Honors Program during medical school. Through joining the forum and as a future physician, she hopes to expand knowledge of female sexual medicine to make medical education more equitable and just for all patients. Outside of medical school she enjoys playing soccer, skiing, roller blading, and playing the fiddle.
